You Don’t Need to Have It All Figured Out to Take the Next Step

Feeling stuck because you don’t have all the answers yet?

You’re not alone. So many of us wait - for the plan, the perfect timing, the guarantee that things will work out before we allow ourselves to move.

But here’s a gentle truth I remind my clients (and myself) often: 👉 Clarity doesn’t come before movement. It comes from it.

The Illusion of “Having It All Figured Out”

We live in a world that worships certainty. We’re taught to have five-year plans, backup plans and exit plans. And while structure has its place, it can also quietly turn into paralysis. I’ve seen incredibly capable people stay stuck not because they lack ability but because they’re waiting for every answer before taking action.

The irony? You often find the answers only after you start walking.

Growth is Messy But That’s Where the Magic Happens

In my coaching work, I notice a common pattern: when people finally take one small step, even without perfect clarity, something shifts.

What Actually Helps When You Feel Stuck

If you’re in that “I don’t know where to begin” phase, try this:

  • Take one small, aligned step - something that feels like movement, not perfection.

  • Check in with how it feels, not just how it looks.

  • Trust that every small decision is data for your next one.

You don’t need a full roadmap - just a willingness to move forward.

A Gentle Reminder

You’re not behind. You’re not lost. You’re just in between where you were and where you’re going and that space counts too.

Because sometimes, the only way to find your way… is to start walking.
